Editing Fees
When your manuscript is ready for editing you can choose either Line Editing or Copyediting as stand-alone services, or you can bundle the two together for overall cost savings if you want both.
The fee includes one full Round of edits. A round of edits consists of several Passes (of varying levels of scrutiny) through the manuscript.
All prices in Canadian dollars.
Please note that payment of 25% of the fee is required before commencement of work.
Line Editing
Fiction: $23.00 per 1,000 words
Non-fiction: $30.00 per 1,000 words
Copyediting
Fiction: $20.00 per 1,000 words
Non-fiction: $26.00 per 1,000 words
Line- and Copy- editing
Fiction: $38.50 per 1,000 words
Non-fiction: $48.00 per 1,000 words
Manuscript Critique
A manuscript critique is charged at an hourly rate of $26.00 per hour (I’m a very fast reader!), including time to write up feedback.
If I complete a manuscript critique for your project, and you then choose to use my editorial services, you will receive a 10% discount on the editing fee.
